'It' will be seen that a candy jar has been provided which is so organized that the vcandy will be prevented from becoming sticlj, whichis provided with a simple renewable hygroscopic device, which is provided with a simple form of securing means for holding-the hygroscopic device in position upon the door and for holding such device itself closed.l

A candy jar comprising a hollow body portion having` an open end, a cover hinged to said body portion and adapted to seal said open end, resilient meansy tending to move said'cover to closed position, a twoV party container 4having a perforated top and positioned upon the inner side of said cover,
