This invention relates to apparatus, for heating water for domestic purposes, one of the objects of the invention being to set up the circulatlon of water in such a way that;
thecontents of the water container will be quickly heated and chilling of the contentsby' the admission of the fresh supply of cool Water is practically eliminated.
A further object is to provide a heater of this character which is simple, compact and efficient, and will not get out of order readily.
lVith the foregoing and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the nvention resides 1n the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter de-- scribed and claimed, it being understood 1 that changes in the precise embodlment' of the invention herein disclosed may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.

Referring to the figures by characters of reference 1 designates a tank or casing preferably cylindrical and, in the present instance, provided with concavo- convex heads 2 and 3. through the tank at the center thereof and opens through and is supported by the centers of the heads. Thus when this tank is placed above a burner, the hot gases resulting from combustion will be free to flow upwardly within the flue so as thereby to 7 heat the water within the tank at the center thereof.
A concavo-convex partition 5 is mounted on the bottom portion of the tank and co-- operates therewith to form a bottom chamher 6 into which open short tube-s 7 supported by the partition and depending there from. A sleeve 8 is supported by this par- I tition and is spaced from but concentric with flue 4. This sleeve has an outlet 9 at or adjacent its upper end through which water rising within the sleeve is free to discharge radially into the upper portion of the tank.
