The inclination of the edges 20 and the location of the rivets 18 are so correlated, that the edges 20 will approach the rivets closely inclosing the box. Since each pocket -space adjacent the location of the rivets is narrow and approaches the close contact of the parts forming the pocket at the rivets, the folding extensions 13 are frictionally gripped adjacent their edges 2O and are thus locked in the pockets.

It will be observed that in, thc case of all ofthe forms embodying the inventions, the pockets provided at the ends ot the box for the reception of the end extensions of the top closure. (whether the same be made of a single part adapted to extend all the way lacross the top. or whether it be made in twolparts which meet or overlap along the middle line of the top of the box) are lorcatedloelow the top ot the box. lThis location aswill be manifest, greatlyf facilitates the insertion of the end extensions of the top closure into said pockets.

While in describing my invention I have referred to certain details of construction and arrangement of the parts of the box. it is to be understood that the invention is in no way limited thereto except as may be pointed out in the appended claims.

I claim as'my invention:

1. A box made fromffibre or paper board` having sides, a bottom, and a topy closure, the said parts being provided with end extensions to form the ends of the box, the end extensions of the bottom being Yfolded against the end extensions of the sides and being secured thereto by. laterally spaced securing means near the tops and lateral edges of said vbottom extensions, providing pockets located below the top of the box .and between said securing means` and tbe endy extensions of the top closure being reduced in width toward .their ends so as to be capable of insertioninto said pockets and between thepointswhere theend extensions yof the bottom. are secured to the. end extensions of the sides.
