This invention relates to a boatprovided with a well whereby persons cansee objects of water on which 'vention being to provide means for keeping the surface of the water in the well stillso as to prevent distortion of the vision by the effect of waves on the light rays.

'Another object of the invention rs to provide means for raising the above mentioned means oif'of the surface of the water; to enable such means to be cleaned and to'pre means from interfering 'with the said means are not being used.

Another object of the lnventionis to make the above mentioned means in the form of a frame having transparent plates therein with means. for arranging the .parts that air will be'expelled from under the parts as the frame enters the water, thus preventing bubbles from occurring under the'transparent parts, which would interfere with the vision.
