Vture 15.: This may be found convenient should it be desired to clean the tube 19.
While I have described what I deem to be the most desirable embodiment of my invention, it'is obvious that many of the details may be Varied without in any way departing from the spirit of my invention, and I therefore do not limit myself to the exact details of construction herein set forth nor to anything less than the whole of my invention limited only by the appended claims.
What is claimed as new is 1. In combination with a receptacle, a platform mountedfthereon, arms extending upward from said platform, a rocker shaft journalled in said arms, a tubular member fixedly supported by said rocker shaft and open throughout its length, said tubular member having one of its ends normally restingupon said platform to seal thesame,
and to limit movement of said rocker shaft" in one direction, said tubular member adapted .to receive the lighted end of a cigarette stub, and a crank handle provided on said rocker shaft for imparting a turning move ment thereto to dispense the cigarette stub into said receptacle.
2. In combination with a receptacle, a
platform mountedthereon, arms extending upward from said platform, a rocker shaft journalled in said arms, a tubular member fixedly supported by said rocker shaft and open throughout its length, said tubular member having one of its ends normally resting upon said platform to seal the same and to limit movement of said rocker shaft in one direction, said tubular member adapted to receive the lighted end of a cigarette stub, and a crank handle provided on said rocker shaft for imparting a turning movement thereto to dispense the cigarette stub into said receptacle, and stop means for limiting the turning movem'ent of said rocker-shaft in the opposite direction.
3. In combination with an ash tray, a platform mounted on the side wall thereof,
posts rising from said platform, a rocker shaft journalled in said posts for ready removal therefrom, and a tubular member fixedly connected with said rocker shaft, said tubular member being open throughout its length and having one of its ends normally resting upon said platform by reason of its own weight to close the same.
In testimony whereof I have aflixed my signature.
