lBe it known that I, ,lnvrNo HUDsoN, a citiates, residing at llfillresof Luzerne and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in lVindow-Screen Ventilatore, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.

' This invention relates to window screen ventilators andV it is an object of the invention to provide a device of this `kind which, when in applied positioino'tfers no hindrance or obstruction to the desired sliding' movement of the window sash and which is constructed in a manner to permit it to be adjusted to be properly applied to window frames of various widths.

Another object of the invention is to provide a device of this kind constructed in a also be employed to properly diffuse within the room the desired disinfectant or fumigant or to meisten the air passing through the device.

An additional object of the invention is to provide a device of this hind with means whereby it may be effectively maintained in applied or working position and wherein such retaining means is particularly adapted or coaction with the parting strips of the window frame.

rlhe invention consists in the details of' construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts of my improved window screen ventilator whereby certain important advantages are attained and the device rendered simpler, less expensive and otherwise more convenient and advantageous for use, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.

The novel features of my invention will hereinafter be definitely clarinet,

My improved window screen ventilator, as herein disclosed, comprises two sections A duplicate construction except that one of the sections, as A, is made in a manner to be readily telescoped within the section B.

Each of the sections A and B comprises an outer vertical wall l having its major' portion cut out, as at 2, and over which is disposed the screen fabric 3 of desired mesh. rEhis fabric 3 may be held in applied position in any desired manner, but as is par. tieularly illustrated in F igure /l the marginal portions of the fabric are clamped between the reverted Hanges l disposed in` wardly of the wall l and defining the cut out portion or opening 2.

,txtending inwardly and upwardly from the lower margin of the wall l on a predetermined curvature is the inner wall 5, the y walls l and 5 being preferably formed from a single sheet of material. The outer end of B is closed by an end plate 6 soldered or otherwise maintained in desired assembled relation.

The outer' end of each of the sections A and B is continued by an outstanding flange 7 which is adapted to lit snugly along the inner face of an outer parting strip 8 comprised in the window frame structure F, Y

Each of the sections A and B has the upper marginal portions of its walls l and 5 turned over to provide therealong the tubes or barrels ll 'and l2. It is to be noted that the tube or barrel ll carried by the wall l of each of the sections is inwardly disposed while the tube or barrel l2 carried by the wall 5 of'each of the sections is outwardly disposed. rlhis arrangement is such so that these tubes or barrels of one of the sections', as A, may be readily received within the correspondingbarrels of the second section B and to facilitate this interengagement, the lowerportion of the'barrel 1l carried by the section B is open to provide a slot ll while the lower portion of the tube or barrel l2 of the section A is provided there-along with a slot 15.
