It is also an object ofmy invention to provide :a retainer in which the keys are concealed and in which the keys for one purpose may be segregated from those for other uses. Referring to the accompanyin drawings,

Plate 5 is a metal plate and is preferably provided to protect the edge of the back 1 over which it is folded, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, from 50 the friction of chain 8, the loo 9 of which is swung over the back of t e flap 1, as shown. Different types of keys may, if desired, be placed on the loops of the chain 9 and 10 thus segregating one class of key 55 from another class of key, while at the same time providing a flexible key retainer having ample room for enclosing a number of keys.

What I claim is:

In a ke retainer, the combination of a flexible fo der comprising a back and foldable fla s, a snap fastener on the flaps, apertures 1n the back spaced apart from each other, a chain passing through the a ertures and having one loop thereof inside t e back 05 and another loo on the outside of the back, a chain of suicient length to permit of the outside loop being swung over the edge of the folder and inside thereof, and a metal guard strip having a portion thereof over 70 the edge of the back on which the outside loop o the chain will rest when swung inside the folder.
