Application filed February To zZZ @l0/tom t may concern.'
Be it known that JOSEPH H. 'SHEELY, a
citizen of the United States of America., re-y siding in the city of St. Louis and State of Missouri, has invented certain new and useful Improvements in Containers, of which the following is a specification. Y
The ob'ect of my device is to fabricate a container' for drugs, perfumes, antiseptics, and other liquids, etc. v
VA further and more specific Object is to .devise a capsule having ab-rush or swab con tained therein, which brush or swab is made Y of a highly absorbent material for absorbing the liquid. f
A still further object is to make a small capsule made `of a fragile material such as parafline, coated with collodion or other suitable substance, which container may be eas,- ily broken by manual pressure. l
A further ob'ect is `to Vmake a capsule which is made of two parts, in one of which is secured the brush or swab. My capsule may be easily made of cheap material. It is used in several ways. It may be filled with perfume and carried by a lady.-y When the perfume is to be used, the container may be broken with the hand in a handkerchief and the perfume applied locally, by means ofthe brush or swab. The base of the capsule in which the brushor swab isy secured forms a handle for the brush or swab. A disinfectant or drug may be applied locally in the` same'ma-nner.
Tith these and other objects in View,my l invention has relation to certain novel feay' 1 trated in the drawings, in which,
24, 1925. serial no. 11,234.
tures of construction and arrangement of parts, as willbe hereinafter more fully described, pointed outfin the ola-im, and illus- Fig. l is a front elevation of my device.v
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal, sectional elevation of my device, and
Fig. 3 is a transverse, sectional elevation on the line 3-3 of Fig. 2. f Numeral 4 designates'my container, preferably made of paraffine or other similar Inaterial., It is made in two'parts which when assembled, are formed lintegral by fusing or welding on the breaking circle 5. Numenal 50 V6 designates a. 'brush or swab made of highly absorbent material such as cotton, celutone, or fabric/which is secured to thebase 7 at 8 in a conventional manner. The end of the base 7 isfcountersunk as at 9 in order to con- `55 serve material. The cap 9 is secured to the v base y7 at thewelding or breaking circle 5, after the brush, saturated with the desiredy liquid, is placed in the position best shown in Fig. 2. The entire surface ofthe con- 60` tainer isthen coated with collodion o-r other similar material.
What I claim and mean tosecure by Letters Patent is,
A plarafline container comprising` a solid base, having its outer end countersunk and havinga brush permanently secured at its otherend, a cap, said cap secured to said base with va breakable joint. n In testimony whereof I aix my signature.
JOSEPH H. sHEELY.
