' Bc it known that I, limrnyE. Millennio,
n. vcitizen of tho United Sioohyfosiding a@ ,.xtchism, in "cho county of Awal/uson. on@
Stato of Kansas, have invented certain now and useful improvements in Railway @Toso ings, of which @he following is wspeciication.
This invcntion relates to improvoments in railway crossings, and has for its objoct to provide a. structure utilized to provide a. .continuation ci' a. -roadway ocioso o mil- .Way track.
ln my copending application, Fiorini No. 674,638, filed l\l'ovenf1beil .14, 1923, have illustrato/d a. somewhat similar stmotni'o as applied fbo an existing troclwziy. in lie hoi'oin dosci'ibed invention, ii havo ilinsw tratod nmodied structure utilizxod .in conv junction with a. coueron@ roadway.
The object of the prent invention is to providonnd secure a, quickly applied moons 11o lock the crossing plat/es to the trank mila and to insulaio the somo iherefrom to pro vont slioi'ifcircuiting of cm'i'ent for ling' or the like.
Tiles@ and other objects will bo moin-'fully described in the. following sfpwificdcions, andV shown in the accompanying drawing, 1n

.t. will be obvous that' by tito @omonima ahovo'dncribofl and shown in the. Mining, Iam nabie to provide a. glowing crossing betwn-"anlaz tho 'nidos oi' .nlm trank, inns y conti omadwny without bumps or on il@ pmiaiileintornuptions, the grossing capable construction ofows iron or the like, and also capable of being quickly removed or installed, ready access to the roadway beingI afforded in the event of necessary repairs or tlie like. Any width of roadway may be accommodated by formas desired.
It will be obvious that my invention is susceptible of modification, and I do not wish to 'be restricted to the form Shown and described, except as defined in the appended claims.
What I claim is:
1. In combination with a pair of track rails having base flanges, a plate member extending between the said rails, said plate member having depending supporting f flanges supported upon said rail flanges, and pairs of coacting wedges co-acting with said plate and said rails to lock the former relative to the latter.
2. In combination with a pair of track rails having base flanges, a plate member extending between the said rails, said plate member having depending supporting flanges, and locking means co-aicting'witli said plate and said rails to lock the former relative to the latter, said locking means comprising a pair of co-acting wedges.
ing the plates integrally or in unit sections` 8. In combination with a. pair of track rails having' base flanges, a plate member having a depending supporting flange, locking means co-acting with said plate and the .ad]acent rail, said locking means Comprising a pair of coacting wedges located be- 35 tween said plate flange and said rail.
4. In combination with Va pair of rails having base flanges, a plate member eXtending between said rails and provided with a downwardly extending supporting flange, 40 said flange having a seat and a locking wedge (fo-acting with the adjacent rail and said seat to lock said plate against vertical displacement relative to said rail.
