a citizen of the UnitedStates, anda resident of Chicago, Cook County,'and State of .Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in. Shower-Bath Devices, of which the following is declared to be a full, clear, and exactIdescription. This invention relates torshower bath, devices, and its principal .ob jectv is .to increase the efficiency of devices of this character.

The invention is in the nature of an inn-- ject is to provide a multiple sprayer head shower bath device, which"isadjustable, whereby the spraymay be directed toward and confined to any desired part ofihe body.

Another object is to provide a shower hatlr device which maybe removably clamped to the rim of a bathtub, ormay. be provided with a pedestal or stand whereby it may stand on the flooradjacent the tub.

Vith these and other. objects and advantages in view, this inventionconsists in. the several novel features hereinafter fully set forth and claimed.

The invention is clearly illustrated in the drawing accompanying this specification, in which Fig. 1 is a side elevationof a shower bath device embodying the preferred form of the present invention and showing the same attached .to a bath tub; Fig. 2 is a plan thereof with the tub partly broken away; Fig. 3 is a detail, vertical section taken on the line 3-3 of Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 is a side elevation of an alternate form of the invention.

Referring to said drawing, and first to Figs. 1 to 3 inclusive, the reference character 10 designates abath tub of ordinary form provided with the usual rim or flange 11, and having a faucet 12 for supplying hot and cold water to the tub.

The. adjustable, CO11,11 EC1'1Q11,,0], clamp device between the spray. device 25 and post' 20, may comprise a socket member 64 which is placed against the side of the post 20, and a block 61 confined in the socket of the socket member and having a screw threaded stud 63 which extends through the end wall of the socket member 641, and through the post 20. A wing nut 60 is threaded on the stud 63 and bears against the post to frictionally clamp the parts together in any desired position of adjustment. The socket member 64 and block 61 are formed with registering holes through which extends one branch 30 of the spray device 25. When the wing nut is screwed up against the post, the branch 30 is clamped between the edges of the holes of the socket member and block and the socket member is clamped against the post. The parts may be fixedly clamped in any position of adjustment, or by screwing up the wing nut with less force, sufiicient friction may be created between the parts to hold them in any adjusted. position, While

It will be observed that the spray device 25 may be bodily moved-back and forth in the clamp device to locate the sprayer heads at any desired place. Furthermore, the spray device may be tilted to any angle desired, and may be turned upright, if desired, when not in use. Furthermore, that the-two sprayer heads are located one above the other, centrally of the tub, whereby the spray of water may extend over a large area but confined wholly within the confines of the tub. The spray may therefore be directed upon the front or back of the user and will not splash out of the tub. l urthermore, the spray device being swiveled in the clamp device, it may be swung up into the position indicated by the dotted lines in Fig. 1, whereby the spray may be delivered from a higher point and directed in a more downwardly direction upon the user. In fact, the branch 31 may occupy any position in an arc of a circle described about the axis of the branch tube 30 as a centre. Obviously the post may be secured to the faucets, or may be clamped to any convenient support.

In the alternate form of the invention illustrated in Fig. 4 the post 20 is unprovided with this U bend 22 and clamp screw 2a, and is adjustably secured in apedestal 20 by a elamp screw 20 The pedestal is provided with a comparatively heavy and wide base 20, which rests on the floor. The pedestal may beplaced at any convenient placeadjacent the tub as desired. In case it is desired to use only one sprayer head, a cap or closure 31 is provided, and one of the sprayer heads may be removed from its branch tube, and the cap or closure 31 screwed upon the threaded end of the tube to close it. In other respects the form of spray device shown in Fig. 4 is similar to that of the preferred form.

More or less variation of the exact details of construction is possible without departing from the spirit of this invention; I desire, therefore, not to limit myself to the exact form or" the construction shown and described, but intend, in the following claims, to point out all of the invention disclosed herein.

I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent:

1. A shower bath device, comprising a post, a spray device having a plurality of aligned branches, sprayer head, a swivel connection between said post and one of said branches, whereby both branches of said spray device may swing in a vertical plane, and one branch may rotate about the other, and a flexible tube for connecting said spray device with a faucet.

2. A shower bath device comprising a post, a clamp device swiveled to the upper end of said post, a spray device having a plurality of aligned branches, eachprovided with a sprayer head, and 'one of which is adjustably held in said clamp device, and a flexible tube for connecting said spray device with a faucet.

3. A shower bath device comprising a post, a clamp device swiveled to the upper end of said post, a U shaped spray device having two branches, one of which is adjustable lengthwise in said clamp device, and revolubly mounted therein whereby one branch of the spray device may be adjusted from a position below the other branch, to one thereabove, each branch having a sprayer head thereon, and a flexible tube for connecting said spray device with a faucet;
