To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOSEPH A. I'IIOKEY, citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shower-Bath Apparatus, of which the following is a specification.

The object of my invention is to provide a novel, simple, inexpensive and efficient shower bath apparatus which may be readily applied to a wall and connected to a water supply pipe.

A further object of the invention is to so construct the apparatus that parts thereof may be adjusted with relation to each other, whereby parts of theapparatus may be set in any desired position.

The invention consists in the novel construction and combinations of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed.

In the drawings :Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved shower bath apparatus. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the apparatus, omitting the curtain and show ing a portion of a wall in section to Which the apparatus is applied. Fig. 8 is a plan view of the apparatus applied to a wall shown in section. Fig. 4 is a section on line -1---1 of Fig. Fig. 5 is a view similar to Fig. 2, including a wall fixture and a brace not shown in the other figures.

2 designates a wall fixture comprising a plate 3, and arm 5 extending therefrom. The plate 3 is adapted to be applied to a wall and secured thereto by means of suitable screws 6 extending through openings in the plate 3 and screwed into the wall. The outer end of the arm 5 is provided with a vertical portion 7 which is embraced by a two-part arm 8 extending from a rin 9. The upper end of the vertical portion 7is provided with a nut 7 above the arm 8. The ring 9 and arm 8 are formed of a flat strip of metal, the central portion of which is bent to form the ring 9, and the

The metal forming the parts 10 and 1O of the two-part arm 8 is preferably bent to form ofiset portions 30 therein which engage the vertical portion 17 of the water-pipe 18 and the vertical portion 7 of the arm 5 when said vertical portions are clamped between the two parts of the arm 8. i

The lower end of the vertical portion 17 of the pipe 18 has attached thereto one end of a flexible pipe 22, the other end of which is provided with a suitable fixture 23, by means of which it may be applied to a water supply pipe for the purpose of supplying Water to the rose head 21 when desired.

The ring 9 is adapted to support a suitable curtain 2 1-, the upper edge of which is suitably attached to rings 25 which surround the ring 9 as shown. It will thus be seen that by moving the rings around thering 9 the curtain may be adjusted to afford access to a position beneath the interior of the ring 9 and beneath the rose head 21, after which the curtain may be adjusted to inclose a person in such position within the curtain.

' In Fig. 5 I have shown a brace 26 extending from the outer'portion'of the ring 9 to a suitable wall fixture 27 secured to the wall above the fixture 2, the brace 26 serving to assist the fixture 2 in supporting the ring 9 and parts carried thereby. v

The fixture 27 is, in the present instance, an ordinary screw provided with a head and extended through an opening in the top of the brace. The bottom of the brace 26 is attached to the ring 9 by a suitable 11001126 formed on the brace and hooked into an opening in the ring. This brace may be employed when desired, and it may be dispensed with when it is deemed unnecessary.

My invention hereinbefore described may be used in any desirable location, but it is especially adapted for use in connection with bath tubs, the bath tub forming a receptacle for the water discharged from the rose head 21 during the operation of the shower bath.

By loosening the clamping screws lat, 15 and 16, the arm 8 may be adjusted horizontally about the axis of the vertical portion 7 of the arm 5, to adjust the ring 9 horizontally to any desired position with respect to the underlying bath tub and with respect to the wall fixture 2; and the water pipe 18 may be adjusted about the axis of its verti cal portion 17 to vary the position of the rose head 21 within the ring 9, as desired. Further, the water pipe 18 may 'be adjusted vertically with respect to the arm 8 to raise and lower the rose head 21 to any desired position, the flexible pipe 22 permitting the vertical adjustment of the pipe 18. These adjustments are important for the reason that they permit the proper location of the parts of the apparatus with respect to abath tub irrespective of the position of the tub with respect to the wall to which the

I claim 1. In a shower bath apparatus, the combination of a wall fixture; a ring provided with an arm supported by said wall fixture and horizontally adjustable thereon; and a water pipe adjustably supported by said arm and provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring.

In a shower bath apparatus, the com bination of a wall fixture; a ring provided with an arm supported by said wall fixture and horizontally adjustable thereon; a curtain supported by said ring; a water pipe adjustably supported by said arm and provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring; a second wall fixture; and a brace extending from said ring to said second wall fixture.

3. In a shower bath apparatus, the com bination of a wall fixture; a ring provided with an arm, said ring and arm being formed of a strip of metal the central portion of which is bent to form the ring and the end portions of which are bent and extended outwardly from the ring to form the arm; means for securing said arm to the wall fixture; a curtain supported by said ring; and a Water pipe provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring.

In a shower bath apparatus, the com loination of a wall fixture; a ring provided with an arm, said ring and arm being formed of a strip of metal the central portion of which is bent to form the ring and the end portions of which are bent and extended outwardly from the ring to form the arm, said arm being supported by said wall fixture and horizontally adjustable thereon; a curtain supported by said ring; and a water pipe horizontally adjustable with said arm provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring.

In a shower bath a i)paratus, the combination of a wall fixture; a ring provided with an arm, said ring and arm being formed of a strip of metal the central portion of which is bent to form the ring and the end portions of which are bent and extended outwardly from the ring to form the arm, said arm being supported by said wall fixture and horizontally adjustable thereon; a curtain supported by said ring; and a water pipe adjustably supported by said arm and provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring.

6. 111 a shower bath apparatus, the combination of wall fixture including a projecting arm; a ring provided with a two part arm embracing the arm of the wall fixture; a clamping screw arranged to draw the two parts of said arm toward each other; a curtain supported by said rii'lg; and a water pipe provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring.

7. In a shower bath apparatus, the combination of a wall. fixture including a projecting arm; a ring provided with a two part arm embracing the arm of the wall fixture; a water pipe extending between the two parts of said two-part arm and provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring; a clamping screw arranged to draw the two parts of said arm toward each other; and a curtain supported by said ring.

8. In a shower bath apparatus, the combination of a wall fixture including a projecting arm; a ring provided with a two part arm, said ring and arm being formed of a Hat strip of metal the central portion of which is bent to form the ring and the end portions of which are bent and extended outwardly from the ring to form the two part arm, said two part arm embracing the arm of the wall fixture; a clamping screw arranged to draw the two parts of said arm toward each other; a curtain supported by said ring; and a water pipe provided with a rose head located inwardly of said ring.
