Referring more in detail to the drawings, the grease cup is designated 10 and may be of any of the well known constructions, the same being internally screw-threaded as at 11. The plug is designated in its entirety by reference character 12, and is provided with a cut out portion 13, which extends downwardly from the top of the plug to a plane slightly below the center transverse axis, the base 14 0f the plug being integral and cylindrical in shape, and of a diameter corresponding to the interior diameter of the cup.

From this it will be observed that the bottom of the socket 19 is fixed, the sides thereof being relatively immovable, while the contrary is true of the portion of the socket 19 which extends above the base 1 1 of the plug, this portion of the socket being formed by the complementary recesses 17. This arrangement is preferably such that the recess '17 in the movable section 15 coincides with the corresponding portion of the socket in the base 14 when said section occupies the position shown in Fig 3. This being true, the long side of the recess 17 in the movable section 15 assumes a position slightly offset inwardly of the corresponding side of the socket in the base 1 1 when the no section 15 is in the position shown in Fig. 4. In this manner undue binding of the parts 15 prevented during use of the wrench in the same as with the solid plug now in comapplying, removing or adjusting the plug.
