JOHN K. DOIIAN, O1 OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA.
' RABB T HUTCI-I.
Application filed February 9, 1922. Serial No. 535,336.
I '0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN K. Down, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oakland, in the county of Alameda and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Rabbit Hutches, of which the following is a specification.
My invention is an improved sectional rabbit hutch which is sanitary and efiicient in use and may be readily constructed in as many sections as desirable. Two sections may be faced together to form a closed'rabbitry or they may be left open as desired.
Referring to the annexed drawings in which my invention is illustrated and which forms a part of this specification:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of my rabbit hutch complete.
Figure 2 is a fragmentary horizontal section of my rabbit hutch taken on line 22 v of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of one of the water troughs.
Figure 4 is an inside elevation of one side member of the hutch.
Figure 5 is a transverse vertical section of the hutch taken on line 55 of Figure 4.
Figure 6 is a fragmentary vertical section of one of the feed bins.
My rabbit hutch may be constructed with sidemembers 1 and 2 spaced a short distance apart and closed at the ends by end walls 3 and 4 and covered at the topby a roof 5. A door 6 may be provided in the end wall 4 communicating with the space 7 between said side members 1 and 2. Each of the side members 1 and 2 is made in sections 8 and9 arranged end to end. Each of said sections is divided into a plurality of superimposed compartments 10 and a plurality of superimposed compartments 11,
' horizontal walls 12 forming the floors of inner sides with extensions 14 while the.
Having described my invention, I claim: 1. A rabbit hutch comprising a plurality of sections, extensions on certain sections,
offsets on other sections which receive said extensions, angle plates in said extensions, angle'plates n said ofisets engaging the angle plates in said extensions and form ing feed bins, andsoreens in said extensions and said offsets communicatingith said bins. '7 "2. A rabbit ments arranged side by side, a urine trough having a downwardly sloping bottoinp'ar'fly under each of said compartmentg a screen hutch including compare ture'.
covgring said trough, a floor under the remainder of the compartment, a slidable door 10 covering the outer end of said trough and a sliding-Water trough partly in each com-- partment over-s a-id urine trough.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signa- JOHN K. DOLAN.
