To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, VILLIAM F. Haves and JOHN N. ARMs'rRoNG, citizens of the United States, residing at Mineral Wells, in the county of Palo Pinto and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Furniture Polish, of which the following is .a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in furniture polishes, and has for its principal object to provide a polish which will produce a very fine gloss or finish on the surface to which the polish is applied.
Another important object is to provide a furniture polish which may be manufactured at a very low cost.
Our improvedfurniture polish consists of the following ingredients:
Paraffine oil 5 gallons Turpentine gallon Rosin 1 pounds Linseed oil 20 ounces Oil of bay 1 ounces In preparing the furniture polish, to the five gallons of parafline oil is first added the 6, 1924. Serial No. 754,409.
twenty Ounces of linseed oil; to this is then added the one and one-half pounds of rosin, and the above ingredients are stirred until the rosin has become dissolved. The oil of bay is then added, and finally the turpentine is added to the mixture. The above ingredients are cooked slowly until the same boils and the boiling continues for approximately twenty minutes.
The furniture polish is put up in suitable containers, so that the same will not be affected by atmospheric conditions. The provision of a furniture polish of the above mentioned character, will produce a high finish or gloss on any surface upon which the polish may be applied.
Having thus described our composition, what we claim is:
A furniture polish consisting of paraflin oil, 5 gallons; linseed oil, 20 ounces; rosin, 1 pounds; oil of bay, 1 ounces; and turpentine, gallon.
In testimony whereof we afiiX our signatures.
ILLIAM F. HAYES. JOHN N. ARMSTRONG.
