Be it known that, I, LEO B. SrMoN'soiu a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements inShampoo LiquidFountains "for Hair-Dressing Parlors, of which theV following is a specication. y

This invention relates to equipment for hair dressing, manicuring and toilet 'establisliments generally, and it has for an object to provide a supply means, readily accessible for the various attendants, for the various liquid preparations used `in the establishment, a further specific object relating to` the provision of a unitary control means for the supply.

For further comprehension of the invention, and ofthe objects and advantages thereof, reference will be had to the following description and accompanying drawings, and to the appended claims in which the various novel features of the invention are more particularly set forth.

Fig. 1 of the drawings is a perspective view indicating the hallway of an establishment of the type above referred to, showing` the novel liquid delivery means mounted on the wall thereof.

Fig. 2 is a rear elevational View showing the various supply tanks and their control means.

Fig. 4 is an enlarged fragmentary transverse sectional view taken on the line 4-4 of Fig. 2.

In the drawings the reference numeral 10 indicates one of the walls of a hallway in a toilet establishment, sometimes known under the name of beauty parlor, doorways leading into various rooms or apartments being indicated at 11. Fixed to this wall, preferably on the side thereof which faces away from the hall, and at a considerable height, is a shelf 12 which may be supported as by the brackets 13. This shelf is adapted to serve as a support for the various containers for the liquid prep-arations einployed. These containers are indicated at 15 and have short pipes 16 fixed thereto which are adapted to be engaged with the pipes 17 leading to the delivery devices on the wall 10. Couplings 18 are provided to connect the lpipes 16 on the containers to the 'feed' pipes 17. The pipes 16 have valves 2O thereonwhich are adapted to be operated by means of arms mounted on the stems Y thereof.

In order to permit of all the valves being controlled iii-unison, as for'instance when it lis desired4 to shut these ,valves when the I establishment closes at`night, l have arranged a special means for this purpose which means permits of individual operagtion of each valve, which may be necessary kwhen one of the containers is to be changed.

This means comprises a rock yshaft 22 supported at opposite ends in the brackets 13 and having mounted thereon-a number of collars 23. from which arms 24 project. These arms 24 have longitudinal slots such as 25 in their ends into which project pins sich as 26 fixed in the valve operating arms 2 y L K4The collars 23are adapted to be fixed on the shaft 22 by means of screws 29 threaded through the side thereof and engaging at their inner ends in sockets such as 30 in the shaft. Formed in the shaft' 22, at a suitable angular s acing from each of the sockets, are Short Ilongitudinal slots such as 31, the angular spacing of each individual socket and slot being such that when the screw 29 is engaged with the socket the arm 24 will be in position with the valve 2O closed and when the screw 29 is engaged in the slot, the arm 24 will be in position with the valve open.

To rock the shaft 22 suitable means are provided. As here shown a pulley 33 is fixed on one end of the shaft and has a pair of cords 34 led oppositely therearound and attached thereto, the depending ends of these cords having handles 35 thereon whereby they may be grasped for pulling. Movement of the rock shaft is limited at the proper positions, with the valves 20 either open or closed, by means of a pin 37 fixed in the bracket 13 adjacent the pulley 33 and engaging in an arcuate slot 38 in a radial lug 39 extended from said pulley.

The feed pipes 17 before mentioned lead downwardly and then through the walls 11 to connect to discharge faucets 42 through which the liquid is drawn or discharged as desired for use, the attendants being thus under a minimum trouble when replenishment of their small work receptacles is needed.

When either of the containers is to be changed, the corresponding screw 29 is Withdrawn from its socket 30, and the arm 24 swung byA hand to close the valve 20. This movement brings the screW 29 into registry with the slot 31, in the shaft 22 and the screwk is then entered freelyA into the said slot and the collar slid along the shaft to disengage the pin 26 from the arm 24 which projects from the collar 23. rl`he container is then lifted from the shelf 12, the arm 24 remaining in position toengage the valve on the new container When. the collar 23 is slid back to its original position. f
