Be it known that 1, Louis DgjDAvIs; a

citizen ofthe United States, vresiding at Carbondale, in the county of Lackawanna and State of Pennsylvaniaghave invented new and useful lmprovenientsin Tools for Attaching Tips to Shoe Strings; or ,thelike, of which the following attaching tips to'cords as to the ends'of shoerstrings or the like, and has for its ob jects:

The embodiment of the device as disfastened on the end" closed in the drawing comprises a pair of lever members 10 and 11, formedof com.- paratively thin flat metallicstrips ,curv'ed toward one end to form operating'ha'ndles of the type common in pinchers orthe like;
