incense crates,
HENRY E. IPAUK, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
SHOW
Application filed. June 26,
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY E. PAUK, a citizen of the United States, and resident of St. Louis, Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Show Case, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in a show-case and has for its object a case provided with. a plurality of divisions or comartnients, between each is an inclined removable bottom constructed of such material as to providesuch articles as candies or the like from adhering thereto, and the arrangement is such as to make the case absolutely sanitary in every respect.
Figure 1, is perspective view of my invention showing the several compartments.
Fig. 2, is a cross sectional view of the same.
Fig. 3, is a detail perspective view showing the arrangement of the transparent partitions and the inclined bottom and the division cleats by which the partitions are supported in vertical position, and on which the inclined bottom rests.
Fig. 4, is a horizontal sectional view taken on the line immediately above the base.
in the general construction of my inven-- tion I provide a show-case consisting of a bottom 5 on which is built a suitable frame comprising vertical rip-rights 6, a top frame 7 and an inclined front frame 8.
In the top frame is imbedded the usual plate-glass 9, the ends are provided with glass 10 and the inclined front is also provided with glass 11.
The back or. rear of the case is provided with a suitable guide rail 12 on which is slidably mounted the usual sliding doors 13.
On the bottom 5, I provide a plurality of cleats l4: and 15 each being spaced apart forming a space 16 which is of a width corresponding to the thickness of the division walls or partitions 17 which are made preferably of transparent material such as plate-glass or the like.
he cleats 14 are higher than the cleats 15 and on these cleats and between each set of partitions is placed an auxiliary bottom 18 which is in the form of a strip of material suiiiciently coated with a substance which will avoid the adhering of articles CASE.

which are placed between the partition walls, thus on account of the inclination the articles contained between the partitions can be removed therefrom by means of a scoop or like, and at the same time when the par titions are emptied thc'auXiliary bottoms 18 can be removed and thoroughly cleaned for sanitary purposes.
The cleats act as a suitable support for the partition walls which partitions may also be removed when desired, for cleansing purposes.
In the case and suitably positioned above the partitions is placed an ordinary shelf 19 uninterrupted bin for the reception of the candy and the removal of the same by means of a scoop or like, as well as it prevents the candy from adhering to the ordinary wooden bottom of the common ordinary showcase.
Having fully described my invention what I claim is: v
1. A show-case of the character described comprising a suitable frame'in which lights ofglass are supported, a plurality of partitions of transparent material positioned on edge at intervals along the bottom of the case, cleats butting against said partitions for holding the same in vertical position and removable inclined auxiliary bottoms placed between the partitions, substantially as specified.
2. A show-case of the class described comprising a show-case housing, a plurality of rows of cleatslocated on the bottom, the ends being suitably spaced apart, one row of cleats being higher than the other, partitions inserted between the ends of said cleats and an auxiliary bottom placed between the several partitions providing an uninterrupted surface, the same being on an incline, substantially as specified.
3. A device of the character described comprising a show-case having placed on its bottom a plurality of cleats, the same being arranged in alignment but separated from each other, partitions placed between the spaced ends of the cleats and held thereby in vertical position and removable inclined auxiliary bottoms placed between the parti' tions and resting upon the cleats, substantially as specified.
name to this specification, in presence of two subscribing Witnesses.
t V HENRY 131. PAUK.
