`IMPROVEMENT IN MOCCASINS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 146,399, dated January 13, 1874; application led August 9, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

' Be it known that I, GEO. F. PARKER, of

" St. Stephens, in the Province of New Brunswick, Canada, have invented a new and Improved Boot-Moccasin; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification.

The invention will be iirst fully described7 and then pointed out in the claim.

Figure l represents an elevation of my improved boot-moccasin; and Figs. 2, 8, 4, 5, and ti, detail views of the several sections of which it is made.

The sole-piece C is made of an elliptical form, and sufficiently wide and long to form a seam with upper Gr and heel-piece E, which slopes from the leg-seam in opposite directions toward heel and toe, and is at some distance side. The upper G of the sole has a tongue, g, and side projections g', to and under which is sewed the front piece H, the latter being made to overlap the heel-piece E and rear legpiece I, to which it is sewed.

By constructing the boot of pieces that are thus shaped and fitted together, a very comfortable and durable moccasin is obtained,
