Be it known that l, NATHAN lllonerfivs'rnnN, a resident of Brooklyn, Kings Count State of New York, and a citizen oil the Jnited States ot Almerita, have invented certain new and useful improve ments in lil/lovable Eyes for Stuiled Toys? or which the 'Following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in an eye mechanism 'for dolls or the like, but more particularly lor stuffed dolls or bodies having; a flexible or fabric coveringl stutled with any suitable lilling. My improved eye mechanism is particularly Well adapted for stuiied iigures es will hereinafter be explained.

The plate 7 carries an inclined flange 17 at its upper end to receive ilange 18 at the upper end cover 8. The plate 7 also carries` side Aflanges 19 and 2O to engage the sides 21 of the box. The plate 7 is further provided vvith a flange 90 at its lower end `torthe bottom flange 23 of cover 8 to rest against. The cover is snapped into place and depends, for its secureinent, upon a snug;

The cover keeps the stuiling 24 from interfering with the movement of eye G. llVhen the cover is removed :from plate 7 the eye comes away also which is obvious. The eye and plate are formed by suitable dies. My in'iproved eye mechanism is extremely simple, is cheaply manufactured and quickly assembled, ell of which contributes to an extremely inexpensive durable eye mechanism for ligures consisting ot a stuiled preshaped sack. 'lhe plate 7 is secured` to sack 11 by the eyelet 10 With the aid of an eyeletting press. l
