in which the material is secured. To this end I provide two covers of card- .board or the like, to one or both of which is attached a projectin spindle or material receiving portion.

1., A package for braid or the like, made up of a pair of relatively wide cover parts, connected at their ends and carrying a relatively narrow spindle, or load receiving extension at the free end of the cover, adapted to be folded in between the covers.
