' said eyes concaved, and with the eyes flared Be it known that I, Jnssn F. Magnum: a citizen of the UnitedStates, 'residiii' at Brooklyn in the county'of Kings and tate of New ork, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Double-Eyed Guides, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to guides for the strands of silk, cotton, and other textile materials, handled by knitting, braiding, and other textile machines.

My object is to provide a device of this character which may be used in any place,

opposite sides of the centre, with the two faces of the guide at the opposite ends of at their open ends to merge into, said concave surfaces.

The invention consists in the construction .of the device as a whole, resulting from the form and relative arrangement of the several parts thereof, as hereinafter particularly described and claimed, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which: I

Fig. 3 is a side elevation with the relative position of the guide'holder shown in dotted lines, and also with a diagrammatic representation in dotted lines of two strands or threads as they passthrough the eyes of the guide.

In devices of the character described, a guide comprising a circular body having its periphery provided with a groove for engagement with a holder, and having its faces on opposite sides of its periphery concaved and provided with a plurality of eyes extending through the guide from one face to the other. i

In devices of the character described, a guide comprising a circular body having its periphery provided with a groove for engagement with a holder, and having its faces on opposite sides of its periphery concaved and provided with a plurality of eyes extending through the guide from one face to the other, said eye s being flared at their ends to merge into the concave faces of the guide.
