WRAPPER FOR CANDY-BOX COVERS.
Application filed September 1, 1920. Serial No. 407,484.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JAMES H. R0011, a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of Chicago, county of Cook,
5 State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Wrappers for Candy-Box Covers, of which the following is a specification.
The purpose of this invention is to provide the usual printed wrapper for the covers of candy boxes, etc., with an attached envelope or other pocket, preferably worked in as part of the design of the wrapper, and which pocket is suitable for receiving a name card, the object in View being to provide suitable means in a finished gift boxfor conveniently receiving the card of the donor.
This object is accomplished by the device shown in the accompanying drawing which illustrates by a perspective view of a box the improved wrapper for a box cover.
In the drawing the box cover wrapper l is shown having its ends 2 folded around the sides of the box cover and to which they are attached by pasting. The printed design 3 on the wrapper provides a blank space for a pocket which may be in the form of a small envelope 4 pasted to the wrapper and further secured by a sea-1'5, and a ribbon 7 passing through slits in the envelope and secured to the inside of the cover. This en velope is intended to receive the donors name card. The wrapper 1 and envelope 4: are protected by transparent paper 6. The transparent paper 6 is slit along two sides of the envelope and perforated along the remaining sides so that the part thereof opposite the envelope may be removed for the insertion of a card.
I claim:
A wrapper for box covers having a pocket in the form of an envelope attached thereto and apiece of transparent paper surrounding the wrapper, said transparent material being slit and perforated adjacent said 45 pocket. v f Signed at Chicago this 28 day of Aug, 1920. i
