Be it known that I, STANLEY A.. TURNER, a citizen of the United States, residing` at Detroit, in the county of "Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and j or tickets at all times, so that the entrance of dust and dirt through the case vwill be pre vented, and which has an improved means for permitting cards or tickets to be ejected from the housing one at a. time in a convenient and expeditious manner and with the use of only one hand. i

Another object of the invention is to provide, in a card case or holder, a novel means for urging the pack of cards or tickets to the upper' end of the case, and a novel means for ejecting one card at a time through one end of the casing, the case proper including a. pair of members which can be readily connected or disconnected to permit the reloading of the card case.

Another object of the invention is to provide a novel follower plate which forms a guide for the ejector for the cards, and novel means for guiding the follower plate in its movement.

With these and otherobjects in view, the invention consists in the novel construction, arrangement and formation of parts, as will be hereinafter more specically described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which drawings:

Referring to the drawings `in detail,`

The holder A for the card pack E includes a bottom wall 10, which is preferably of the same shape as the cards or tickets which are to be used in the card case, the side walls 11 and the end walls 12 and 13. The front wall 13 has its upper edge cut away as at 111. which permits the upper card er ticket of the card or ticket pack E to the purpose of which will be hereinafter more specifically described, The upper edge of the rear wall 12 intermediate the tongues 15 is provided with a notched portion 16 through which a portion of the ejector D is adapted to ride, when a card or ticket is being ejected from the case,

The inner surfaces of the side 'walls 11 substantially at the transverse center thereof are provided with a pair of guides 17" for the follower C which is slidablyl mounted within the holder A. The guides 17 are substantially U-sli'aped in form and include the side guide rails18 and the cross stop rail 19, which formsa stop for ylimiting the upward movement of the follower C. The cover part B of the case for theholder part A and the card or ticket pack E includes a top wall 20, depending longitudinally eX tending side walls 21, and a rear end 'wall 22, Y he side walls 21 and the end wall 22 are provided with inwardly extending flanges 23 and 211 respectively, which serve as means for `engaging the bottom surface of the holder part A. The follower C includes a substantially rectangular plate 28 which is of a size substantially equal to the holder part A and is adapted to move up' and down within the same. The opposite longitudinal edges of the plate 28 are provided with struck down outwardly extending ears 29 and these ears are arrangedy in a plane below the plate 28 and slidably positioned within the U-shaped guides 17. This plate 37 is adapted to slide over vthe upper surface of the top wall 20 of the cover part B, and is of a length to cover the slot no matter in what position the plate is slid. While l have described and shown the plate diamond shaped, it is to be understood that l do not limit myself to the exact shape thereof. The struck up tongue 35 is extended through the plate 37 and is anchored in the thumb piece or head 38. 1t can be seen that by moving the thumb piece 33 toward either end of the case the ejector plate l) will be moved therewith and that the strip 32 will engage the rear edge of the uppermost card, The lugs 15 'space the rear' wall`12 of the holder 'portion A as heretobefore stated, and this space permits the foot 33 to ride in rear ofthe card or ticket pack E.

A case for-cards or tickets comprising a pair of slidably associated sections, one section constituting the holder part `for the pack of cards, and the other section the cover part for saidholder part, the holder part including a bottom walland upwardly extending side, front and rear walls, the cover section includinga top wall, depending side walls, and a rear wall, rearwardly extending spacing lugs carriedv by the rear` wall of the holder section arranged to engage the inner surface of the rear wall of the cover section, guides carried by the side walls of the holder section, a follower plate slidably mounted in the holder section having outstanding ears formed on the longitudinal edges thereof arranged for movementin said guide, spring means'normally urging the follower plate toward the upper' end of the holder section, therear wall of the holder section having a not-ch "therein, the front wall of the holder section having a notch therein, a struck down tongue'formedy on the rear end of the follower plate arranged in alignment with the notch formed in the rear wall of the holder section, and an ejector including a fiat plate, a depending j foot formed on the flat plate arranged to engage the rear edge of the uppermost card or ticket of the stack of cards or tickets and arranged in alignmentwith the notch y formed in the rear wall of the holder part and the struck down tongue formed on the follower, and a button slidably carried `by the outer surface ofthe holder part and operatively connected to said plate.

the cover section including a top wall, de-` pending side walls and a rear wall, retain!y ing guideflanges formed on the side and rear walls, theholder section including a bottomwall and upstanding side, front and rear walls,la `follower plate slidably mounted in the holder section, spring means normally urging the follower plate toward the `upper edge of the holder section, the cover section `having' a longitudinally extending slot formed in the upper wall thereof, an ejector including a longitudinally extending strip, a plate slidably carried by the upper surface of the top wall of the cover section arrangedito overlie the slot at all times,

a thumb piece `carried by said sliding-plate, and a struck out tongue formed on said strip and threaded through said slot and anchored into said thumb piece.
