Be known that l, d'osnrjrr Konzvio, a citizen of the United States, and resident oi Two Rivers, in the county of ll ienitowoc and of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Match Boxes and Ash Trays for Automobiles; and 1 do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.
This invention relates to a new and useful construction for a. combined ash tray and match-box, which is adopted to beetteched to 9. vertical side wall, and it is believed that the invention will be found of particular service in connection with the interior of the body or" closed automobile.
The general objectof the invention is to provide a convenient receptacle to receive the cigar ashes and the like, and which is also provided with other conveniences for smokers.

The receptacle is provided with e horizontal partition 10, which supports a removable inner receptacle or tray 11, which is adapted to contain cigar ashes, stubs and the like.
The under side of the cover 7 is provided with a trough. shaped member 12, in which a partly burned cigar may be placed. From the foregoing description it will be seen that I have provided 3. convenient and eilicient device for the purpose described, and while I have shown one form in which the invention may be embodied, it will be readily seen that various modifications may be made therein, Without departing from the spirit of the invention.
I claim:
1. A receptacle for cigar ashes and the like comprising a casing, means for attaching the same to a side wall, a hin ed cover for the casing, spring means for retaining said cover in closed or open position, and e trough attached to the inside of the cover en d adapted to hold a cigar when the cover in open position.
2. A receptacle comprising an outer casing, means for attaching the some to a side wall, a hinged cover for the casing, spring means for retaining said cover in closed or open position, a trough attached to the inside of'tlie cover and adapted to hold a cigar when the cover is in open position, and a removable inner casing supported Within said outer casing and adapted to receive cigar ashes and the like.

A receptacle comprising an outer casing, means for attaching the same to a side wall, a. hinged cover for the casing, spring means for retaining said cover in closed or open position, a trough attached to the inside of -the cover and adapted to hold a cigar when the cover is in open position, and a removable inner casing supported within said outer casing adept-ed to receive cigar ashes and the like, e slidable drawer in'said outer a eann 1e casing underneath the inner casing, said drawer being of suitable size and. shape to receive a box of safety matches, and an opening in the outer side of said. casing for lighting thematches on the safety match box, the
