Each shelf is equipped at the ends with a metal plate 12 screwed or otherwise secured to the end of the shelf and provided with a right angled flange 13, which is secured to the bottom of the shelf. The ends of these plates have downward extensions 14- and 15 the front extension being provided with a fair of slots 16, 17. diverging somewhat, on the rear extension is provided with a single slot 18.
With the bolt holes 9 and 10 at the proper distance apart, the standards are erected and the shelves located. When it is desired to provide for shelves at an angle to the horizontel, the slots 17 and 18 in the metal plates are employed and bolts-secured in the holes 9 10. This gives the proper angle for the shelf end the back takes a corresponding position at right angles to the main shelf.
