' to be used by male persons suffering from enuresis nooturna, but they all are possessed by the drawback that they surround the penis but loosely, affording thus no reliably tight closure, so that urine may flow out from the receptacle, whereby the purpose of the contrivance is marred. Theobject of my invention is to be overcome that drawback by combining the urinal, or its collecting vessel respectively, with means affording a tight closure between the penis and the opening of said vessel.

Said means consists of an exchangeable packing sleeve made of an elastic material, such as india-rubber or the like, and adapted to be shoved with its one end upon the outer rim or flange of the urinal-tube and with its other end upon the penis. Owing to said sleeve consisting of an elastic material, the moveability of the penis is not impaired and a tight packing is obtained. That end of the sleeve which is attached to the urinal-tube is preferably drawn over the flange provided at that tube so as to be held in place by the elasticity or tension of the india-rubber, and to e easily removeable and exchangeable. The receptacle of the urinal is connected with said tube in any known manner, preferably by means of a screw-threaded rigid sleeve which is screwed upon the said tube.

In order to make my {invention more clear, I refer to the accompanying drawing, in which similar letters denote similar parts throughout the several views, and in which:

this latter is a screw-thread e which is screwed a sleeve 9 connected with the collooting receptacle f which, thus, may be easily attached to, or removed from, the piece of tube 0; inother words: it may be conveniently exchanged. Between the outer end of the threaded sleeve 9 and the opposite part of the plate 7) is a packingring 71, whereby the contents of the receptacle 7 is prevented from flowing out at the end in question. The lower end or part of the receptacle f consists of a bag m which may be provided with a cock through which the receptacle may be emptied.

The before-mentioned elastic sleeve which forms the subject-matter of the invention is the sleeve 2' which has the shape of a hollow truncated cone and is, in the form of construction shown in Figure 3, drawn with its wide end over the flange 65 of the tube 0, whereby it is secured in place. The sleeve z extends through the tube 0 into the upper end of the receptacle f. The dotted lines in Fig. 2 indicate the position of the sleeve in general and its narrow end in particular with respect to the penis.

Before attaching the device to the penis, the receptacle f is screwed off the piece of tube 0. Then the sleeve 5 is shoved over the penis and properly adjusted with respect to it. Now the receptacle f is again brought into place when it is securely packed by the packing-ring h, as well as by the inner end of the sleeve 2'. The tightness is not impaired even if the receptacle becomes filled because the then arising pressure upon the inner end of the sleeve 7; contributes, in fact, to increase the tightness.

The penis keeps its normal moveability as the elastic sleeve yields to any movement of the penis without exerting any pains-giving pressure upon it.

Supposing, the relative position of the penis and of the elastic sleeve 71 becomes, by reason of violent movements of the respective person, that shown in Fig. 3, still the packing is tight, as is obvious from this figure without any detailed explanation.

If it appears desirable to re-examine the proper position of the sleeve 71 with respect to the penis, only the receptacle need be screwed off whereby the parts concerned are laid open for inspection.

The packing-parts are easily exchangeable and the whole device allows of an easy cleaning in all its parts.

Having now described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent Of the United ,otates is:

1. A urinal comprising a receptacle having a neck, a tube having its inner end arranged in and secured to the neck, an attaching element secured to said tube, and an elastic truncated-conical sleeve arranged in said tube and having its outer, larger end secured around the outer end of said tube.

2. A urinal comprising a receptacle having a neck, a collar fitted in the neck, a tube on the inner end of which said collar is fitted so that the inner end of the tube extends through the neck of the receptacle an attaching member having an opening through which the said tube extends, a packing ring on said tube and between the said member and the neck, and an elastic truncated-conical sleeve arranged in said tube and having its outer, larger end secured'around the outer end of said tube.

3. A urinal comprising a receptacle having a neck, a tube having its inner end arranged in and detachably secured to the neck, an attaching element secured to said tube, and an elastic truncated conical sleeve arranged in said tube and having its outer, larger end detachably secured around the outer end thereof.
