Be it known lll1atI,GUY C. Gnoss, a citizen of the United States, residing at Denver, in the county'of Denver and Stateof Colorado, have invented new and useful Improvements in Photographic Film Racks, of which the following a specification.

I The present invention is directed to im provements in filmrack, and has for its .object to provide a device of this character so constructed that the film strips will be the successive operations of developing, Xing, washing and drying, but may be readily removed when desired.

A further object of the invention is to provide a rack of this nature having associated therewith a clampingbar whichco-operates with the rack to impale the film strips thereto to prevent accidental disengagement thereof during handling.

Since the vertical web 11 of the bar 7 lies adjacent the bar of the rack it is obvious that the same will cause the upper end of the film strip to curl over the bar 2 and hold 1 the extreme upper end of the strip in binding engagement with the bar 2, as clearly shown in Fig. 2 of the drawing.

Thus it will be seen that the film strips will be impaled on the spurs 3, and cannot be removed until the clamping bar 7 is elevatedto its inoperative position, as shown in. dotted lines in Fig. 1 of the drawing.

It will be noted that the ends of the vertical web 11 of the bar 7 is curved, as at 13, and has its upper edge in contact with the adjacent part of the horizontal web 9 and suitably secured thereto, thus bracing the respective webs.

What is claimed is:

1. As a new article of manufacture, a film rack comprising a Ushaped frame, a clamping bar having guides carried by its ends for slidably engaging the side bars of the frame, said side bars terminating in horizontal arms, as and for the purpose set forth. i
