INVENTOR ATTORN EY WITNESS:
PATENT @FO i 1 zrroyor MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA.
MEMORANDUM PAD.
iai-miao.
To all whom t mary concern.'
Be it known that I, FRANK ZIPoY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minneapolis, in the county of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, have .invented new and useful Improvements in Memorandum Pads, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in memorandum pads, the general object of the invention being to provide means for holding` a pad upon the wrist of one hand in a posltion where lit may be written upon bythe other hand.
Another object of the invention is to provide means for replacing the pad by a new one when the sheets ofthe old one have been used up.
rlfhis invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafterfully described, illustrated inthe accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims. l' i In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings whereinA like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure l is a view showing the invention in use.
Figure 2 is a detail view of the device.
Asshown in these views the device consists of a plate 1 having a reduced extension 2 at one end thereof, both'the plate and its extension being provided with a suitable covering 3. This cover may be of leather or the like. A screw threaded stud 4 is suit-- ably connected with the plate'and thisstud is adapted to pass through an opening'in Specieation-of Letters Patent.
Patented June t3, i922.
Application led July 25, 1921. Serial No'. 487,322.
'Ihe tongue or extension is adapted to be bent around the wrist of one arm so as to hold the device with the pad in a position Where it can be written upon by a pen or pencil held in the other hand. Thus notes, telephone numbers and the like can be written upon the pad so that they will be at hand when'needed Without necessitating the carrying about of a slip of paper containing the notes and which is liable to be mislaid'. Furthermore my device leaves lboth hands free for other duties.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
