Referring more particularly to Figure L it will be noticed the holder frame is suplOO ported on rone side oit the car by what are termed anchor links77 19 that sustain a cam carrying angle bar 1 upon which the cam shoe or shoes are adjustably mounted and which, in my present invention, cooperate with certain connecting bridge or gap closure means that constitutes an essential part of my said present invention.
ln my copending construction, the anchor link 19 has horizontal slot 24 through which passes a clamp or set screw for adjustable connection with an adjusting bolt whichengages with the cam holding bracket member, before mentioned, and by which the said bracket also may be conveniently adjusted in vertical direction with respect to the anchor links 19 and the car.
Instead of using the bolt connections for eitl'ecting adjustment for the several parts stated, and as shown in the construction disclosed in my copending` application, the adjustment of the bolt 25 in the horizontal direction through the long slot 24 in the anchor link 19 is effected in the manner best shown in Figure 2, by reference to which it will be observed that the end ot' the link 19, next to the cam slice holding` member 1, has an angled portion 31X which constitutes the guide and bearing member forh the threaded end oi' a screw bolt 28 that is 'formed with an eye 29 for engaging the clamp bolt 25 which passes throueh the long slot 241- in the anchor link 19, and the vertically elongated slot 4l in the leg,` 1 of the angle bar, whose other leg`- or member l() carries the cam shoe or shoes, as shown.
A washer 23, on the bolt 25, is interposed between the eye 29 ot' the screw rod 28 and the anchor link 19, and a similar washer 23 is also held on the bolt 25 between the eye 29 and a retainer strap 32, a third. washer 231 being located between the sait strap 32 and the clamp nut 2G on the bolt 25, as shown.

By reason ot' the peculiar arrangement of the adjlisting` bolt 28 and its connection with the bolt. 25 that connects the angie bar shaped member 1 and the anchor link, as stated and shown. provides a simple, rela tively inexpensive and easily adjusted i'i'ieafzis for permanently locking and securing the bolt 25 together with the holder 'trame the angle bar and its ailixed cum or cams in any desired position ot horizontal adjustment throughout the length ot the slot 24.
ln my present construction of holder "trame the shank end of the anchor link 19 has the bracket holes 19a-19a as in the other copending arrangement and it also has the saine adjusting; slot 24, the several stated parts being in substantially the same relative position and it is apparent that after the screw bolt 2S has been shifted to more the bolt 25 along;- the slot 24. with its ai'.- tachd parts to the desired position, the said bolt 28 can be held to the set position by screwing home the j am or lock nuts lll-4l), as shown.
W7 hen an opposing pair oi cam shoes G-G is used, as shown in Figure 5, and the said shoes adjusted along; the 'tace ol thc anale plate ot' the bracket l, by passingr the cam bolts (l0-(i0 through the shoe sections and the elongated slots -2() in the said anglo tace 10, the distance space between the ad jacent ends ot the shoes (-G is determined by the set of the said shoe incn'ibcrs ln the arrangement ot cani holder `l'raine shown in my copending application, the distance space between the slice sections is closed by a iiller block that lixedly attached to thc adjacent ends of the said shoe sections.
ln my present construction ot cam holdcr lframe the iiller blocks are dispenscd with and in lieu thereo'lt a ln'idgje connection bctween the shoe members is provided und thc, said connection, the construction and operative arrangement ot which is best shown in Figures 5 and 7, consists ol' an clongralcd lJ-shaped member 5, ot sheet steel. which, in practice, need not be more than one-sixteenth of an inch in thickness. The contact surface 50 oi the U-shaped connection is suitably drilled to provide holes 52 at the opposite ends ior receiving' the countcrsunk scr ws 53 that attach the said ends to their respective shoe se tions, tho iianges 51 also having apertures or receiving` screws 5l that thread into the opposite sides or' the shoe sections.

In my present construction ol cam bolder frame after the adjustincnt has been made and set, the ends of the bridge connection can then be secured to their respective cam shoe sections and since the U-shapcd niember is formed of a very thin metal plate, the contacting iace 50 thereof does not project miente out `from the exposed wood portions of the cam shoes -liar enough to over-actuate the coordinating switch roller or over-gap the opening' or break in the switch transmission terminals.
1While l have shown anddescribed thev gap bridge or connecting member as flat and til-shaped in cross section, it is to be understood that the said gap bridge may be made in any type, shape or design with any two oppositely disposed especially designed cam shoe sections.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the drawing, the complete construction, the manner ofthe practical application of the several parts that constitute my present improvements on cam holder trames, and the advantages of my said improvements will be readily apparent to those familiar with the installation ot' electric elevators and other like arts in which the electric cut out or make and break connection are in substantially constant active condition.

2. ln an elevator installation ot the character described, .in combination with the elevator car, a bracket arm :tixedly attached to and extended laterally of the car, the said arm having a longitudinal slot; of a frame, a switch engaging` cam carried on the iframe, a device including a clamp bolt that supports the cam carrying trame and which passes through the slot in the bracket and adapted for atta-ching the cam carrying :trame to the bracket, and means mounted on the slotted bracket engaging the bolt clamp 'for effecting adjustment of the said bolt clamp and the cam iframe supported thereon along the bracket and for rigidly holding the Vbolt and the frame to their adi usted positions.

In an elevator installation of the character described, in combination with the elevater car, a bracket arm iixedly attached to and extended laterally of the car, the said arm having alongitudinal slot; ot a frame, a switch engaging cam carried on the trame, a device including a clamp bolt that supports the cam carrying frame and which passes through the slot in the bracket and is adapted for attaching the cam carrying frame to the bracket, means adjustably mounted on the slotted bracket engaging the clamp for rigidly holding the boltand the trame to their adjusted positions, the said means including a screw bolt having an eye that engages the clamp bolt, a bearingon the slotted backet tor the screw bolt and clamp nuts engaging the bolt and the bracket 'for securing the screw bolt, the clamp bolt, and the cam carrying l'rame to their shifted positions.
d. ln an elevator installation ot the char` acter described, the combination with the elevator' car, anchor lin rs connected to and projected from the car and laterally adjust able with respect to the car, each of the said anchor links having an elongated horizontal slot and an out-turned angled end provided with an aperture; of a cam shoe carrying trame including an angled portion having elongated slots, a clamp screw boltcooperar tive with each slot in the said angled portion of the cam carrying frame and with the clon* gated slot of corresponding ones of the anchor links, a screw eye bolt cooperative with each clamp screw bolt and with the aperture in the angled end of its respective anchor link, and clamp nuts engaging the eye bolt screws, and their coengaging angled ends ot the anchor links.
. 5. ln an elevator installation of the character described, the combination with the car and bracket members movable with and proj ected laterally from the car; of a frame sup` ported in vertical position on the bracketv members, a pair oi' opposing cam sections, means for adjustably mounting the said sections along one face of the trame toward or from each other and a gap closing element whose opposite ends engage the corresponding cam surface ends of the separated cam sections. j
6. ln an elevator installation of the char` acter described, the combination with the car and bracket members movable with and projected laterally from the car; ot a frame supported in vertical position on the bracket members, a pair of opposing cam sections, means for adjustably mounting the said sections along one face oi the trame toward or from each other, a gap closing element whose il t) opposite ends engage the corresponding cam i i surface ends of the separated cam sections, the said gap closing element consisting ot a plate U-shaped in cross section whereby to lap onto the opposing separated ends of the cam sections and means for securing the U- shaped plate in position forbridging the gap between the said ends of the cam sections.
