IMPROVEMENT IN CONNECTING-RODS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 141,191, dated July 2.2, 1873; application filed June 4, 1873.
where such rods areused by the employment of a screw-thread upon the shaft of the rod to engage with a corresponding female screw formed in the butt or stub end forthe purpose of tightening the box therein, insteadof using the strap, gib, and cotter, as ordinarily made.
