To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES T. Grove, a citizen of the United States, residing at Livingston, in the county of Park nd State of Montana, have invented oerta' new and useful Improvements in a Protector for Toilet Seats; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same,
The use of public toilets is attended with great risk because of sanitary and unclean to infection.

The present invention provides a cover for the seat which may be used by the individual' and placed in position prior to use of the toilet and subsequently discarded and which will ffectually guard against unsanii'tariy and infectious conditions.
e invention consists of a cover made to conform to the usual seat and having its outer edge portion crimped to engage the outer edg of the seat and having its inner edge provided with tongues to engage the inner edge of the seat, and having a for?- wardly extending flap adapted to fold over the cover and seat and project downwardly into the front rtion of the bowl to guard against and efiegtually prevent any part of the person from coming into contact with the bowl, said flap interlocking at its opposite edges with adjacent tongues.
Other objects and advantages will be apparent and suggest themselves as the nature of the invention is understood.
While the drawing illustrates an embodiment of the invention it is to be understood that in adapting the same to meet different conditions and requirements, various changes in the form, proportion and minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the nature of the invention.

The sheet cover or protector 1 may consist I q of any suitable sheet material, paper being preferred. The cover conforms approxlmately to the outline of the seat for which it is intended and its outer edge portion is crimped as indicated at 2 to engage the outer edge of the seat and its inner edge is provided with a plurality of depending tongues 3 to engage th inner edge of the seat. A flap 4 forms part of the cover or protector and is disposed at the front thereof and in practice is adapted to be folded so as to extend over the cover and across the inner edge thereof to occupy a endent position within th upper forward portion of the bowl to form a guard and prevent contact of the person therewith.
