To all whom it mayconcem:
Be it known that I, AUGUSTINAS MACUL- ems, a citizen of Lithuania, residin at Newark, county of Essex, and State of ew Jerse have invented certain new and useful mprovements in Ring Watches, of which the followin is a specification.
The object of this invention is to rovide a ring in which a watch may be inc osed in such a manner, that the proper time can always be told at a glance.
The bracelet or wrist watches which are generally in use at the present time, have the disadvantage that in order to consult the same, it is necessary to raise the arm in order to partly lift the sleeve and that they too easily turn around the am so that the watch dial is frequently upon the wrong side of the arm, making an inspection inconvenient.
These disadvantages are successfully overcome by the object 'of the present invention, the principal feature of which is the provision of a ring presenting a seat for the watch in its rim or crown on which the watch is either seated from the top or from the bottom, but so that its dial at all times will be upwardly turned for ready inspection or consultation.
It is a further object of the invention to provide a ring watch seated in a socket of the ring, the winding and setting stem of which is normally embedded within a recess in the rim, flush with the outer face thereof.
A still further object of the invention is the provision of a watch of this character, the winding and setting stem of which may easily be positioned radiall to the rim so that the watch may be readlly wound up or set in the customary well known manner.
The lnvention consists in the novel construction, arrangement of parts and combination of elements and details, which will be more fully described hereinafter, and finally pointed out in the claims.
The preferred form of my invention is illustrated by way of example in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 shows in side view a ring constructed according to the present invention ada ted to carry a watch.

As shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3 a watch of any ordinary, well known construction is set from below into the rim 11 or crown of a ring having the customary band 12, for instance in ornamental execution as illustrated at 13, andintegrally made with the rim or crown thereof, having an upper opening through which the watch dial 14 is visible, the outer flange 15 of the crown forming the frame for the dial.
A removable plate 16 coversthe work of the watch and is adapted to rest with, its outer face upon a finger bearing the ring.
The rim 11 is provided with a lateral recess for the reception of the outer end of the winding or setting stem 17 for the watch, which is connected to the winding and setting stem proper of the watch, which is extended into this recess, by a pin and slot connection 18 and 19 so that the stem may be shifted in a radial direction in the customary manner when it is desired to either setor wind the watch, while normally the end 17 is so embedded in the recess of the rim that its end may be engaged by a finger nail to bring the end into its working radial position.
In Figures 4'and 5, a ring 20 is illustrated having a rim or crown 21 constituting a socket 21' for the reception of the watch 22, adapted to be placed into the socket from above and to be secured therein in any well known manner.
The rim 21 as well as the watch rim 23 have recesses 24 and 25 respectively, which ,are in alignment with each other when the watch is placed into the socket and throu h which the end 17 of a setting stem is ra ially projecting as described above with respect to the preferred form illustrated in Figures 1, 2 and 3.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is:
