T all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HOWARD ANGELO Morris, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mobile, in the county of Mobile, State of Alabama, have invented a new and useful Leather Preserver; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will en- 7 able others skilled in the art to which it ap pertains to make and use the same.
The invention relates to leather preservatives and has for its object to provide a preleys, therefore it is a further object of the invention to provide a belt dressing to which waste materials will not adhere and at the 7 same time a belt dressing which will not cake on the belt or pulleys.
With the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of ingredients as hereinafter set forth, described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departingfrom the spirit of the invention.
I have found that by using the following.

1 part parafiin or turpentine soap, fi :1- part of Venetian turpentine or balsam part oil ofcinnamon. I The above ingredients areplaced in a receptacle' and subjected to a cooking process which is substantially as follows :-The parafiin or soap is heated and brought to a boil, then the castor oil is added and stirred thoroughly. The Venetian turpentine is then added at boiling point and finally the oil of cinnamon. The composition is then taken from the fire and allowed to cool for 48 hours. j p
It has been found that a belt dressing comprising the above ingredients will not cake on the belting or pulley and it has also been found that the belt will be thoroughly preserved and rendered flexible and preventedv from cracking incident to drying out of the belt. It has also been found thatrwaste and foreign matter will not stick to a belt which has been treated to the above composition.
The invention having been set forth what i is claimed as new and useful is 1. A composition of the character described comprising a mixture of castor oil paraflin, Venetian turpentineyand oil of cinnamon.
.2. A composition of the character de-5 scribed comprising a mixture three parts castor oil, one part paraflin, one quarter part of Venetian turpentine and one sixty-fourth part of oil of cinnamon.
