- the ends of which are beveled so as not to interfere with the folding of the leaves. On
the underside of the leaf 2 are secured straps 10, 11 and 12, whichare-partly offset intermediate theirends. On the underside of leaf 5 are secured straps 13, 14 and 15 which are partly ofiset from the leaf intermediate their ends. A pair of legs 16 and 17 are pivoted together intermediate their ends by a bolt 18, on theinner end of which screws a nut 19. On the outer edge at the upper end of the legs 16 and 17 aresecured cleats 20 and 21 which extend outwardly from the legs and are adapted to be inserted under the offset portion of the straps'lO and 13 whereby the table top is mounted on said legs. A bar'22 has a cleat 23 secured to itsupper edge and projecting from one end which is adapted tobe inserted under the offset portion of the cleat 13 with the bar resting against legs 16 and 17 and engaging the underside of the table top.- A bolt 24 extends through the upper end of the leg 16 and through an aperture in the bar 22,
and a fly nut .26 screws on the end of said bolt against said bar, said bolt and the cleat 23 and strap 13 holding the bar againstthe under side of the table top to hold the leaves 2, 3,4 and 5 flat- A brace 30 is hinged at one end by a hinge 31 to the underside of the leaf 4 and has a fork 32 secured to its other end adapted to straddle the inner end of the bolt 18 and to be engaged by fly nut 19. said brace holding the legs 16 and 17 rigid in supporting posltion. A pair of legs 36 and 37 are pivoted together intermediate their ends by a bolt 38 on the inner end of which screws a nut 39.
On the outer edge at the upper end of the legs 36 and 37 are secured cleats 40 and 41 which extend outwardly from the legs and side of the table top. A bolt 44 extends through the upper end of the leg 37 and through an aperture in the bar 42, and a fly nut 46 screws on the outer end of said bolt against said bar, said bolt and the cleat 43 and strap 12 holding the bar against the underside of the table top to hold the leaves of the table flat. A brace 50 'is hinged at one end by a hinge 51 to the underside of the leaf 4 and has a fork 52 secured to its other end adapted to straddle the inner end of the bolt 38 and t be engaged by fly nut 39, said brace holding the legs 36 and 37 rigid in supporting position.
Square end walls 60 are hinged by a loose pin hinge at one edge to the inside of leaf 3 adjacent the inside of the cleats 9 at the ends of said leaf. On the inside of oneof the end walls 00 is secured a plate '61 on which is a pin 62 and a lug 68. To, the inside of the leaf 5 is secured a bracket 65 to which is pivoted a latch 66 provided with a notch 67. The benches 70 and 71 each include a rectangular box-shaped to 72. to the underside of the top wall of whic near the ends thereof are hinged the upper end of legs 73. Foldable braces 74 are hinged at one end to the underside of the top wall of the top 72 and at their other end to the legs 7 3. Rectangular blocks 75 and 76 are'secured in the ends of thetop 72 against which the legs 73 are braced against the inside of leafe. The leaves 3, i and 5 may then be folded on their hinges and 'he ilatch .66sprung over the lug 63 with the pin 62 engaging the notch 67 to lock said leaves in folded position.
The legs 16 and 17 and the legs 36 and 37 may then be folded on thei'rlpivots and said legs and the bars 22 and 42 placed inside boX-folded leaves. The leaf 2 may then be folded against the edge of the end walls 60 and the folded'table placed on the run ning board of an autornobile with said-leaf resting upon the running board. The
folded box and contents and the folded,
