To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I JOHANNES BENJAMIN EEN, a subject of the King of Norway, re-
siding at Voss, Norway, have invented cer-- tain new and useful Improvements in J oint- Closures, (for which I have filed an application in Norway, No. 11,336, July 25,1917;) and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled Y in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improved joint closure for joints especially in wooden constructions of the kind in which there are comparatively few joints as, for instance, houses built up of ready made wall sections.
The joint closures which may be made from paper, cardboard or any other suitable material, are folded in such way as to allow of their widening and contracting in conjunction with the alterations in the width of the joint in which they are placed. i In the accompanying drawings there is illustrated a cross sectional view of an exemplification of one form of my invention,

It will be observed that by forming the joint closing member of paper of expansible formation and using an. adhesive material for securing it to the contiguous edges of the'boards, the adhesive material also forms a seal between the sides of the closing mem ber and the edges of the boards, which would not be possible ifthe closing member were made of metal.
Claim: 7
The combination with a wall formed of a plurality of boards placed in edge-abutting relation, of a joint closing member between contiguous edges, said member com-. prising a paper tube, and a layer of glue on diametricallyopposite exterior sides of said member for fastening it directly to said edges, said glue also forming a seal between thesides of the closing member and the contiguous edges of the boards.
