TUBE-CLEANER.
, 1 0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, CHARLES EDWARD CLIEsTNUT and YVILLIAM ALBERT HENDER- soN, subjects of the King of Great Britain, and residents of Calgary, in the Province of Alberta, in the Dominion of Canada, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Tube-Cleaner, of which the following is a specification.
Our invention relates to improvements in a tube cleaner, the objects of Which will be apparent to those versed in the art by the following description, reference being made to the drawing forming part of this application.
The view shown in the accompanying drawing illustrates clearly the construction of the device and shows the relative parts in perspective.
Referring more particularly to the drawings, the two spring members a. terminate in disks 6'. adapted to cut the incrustation and remove it from the tube, said disks travelingforwardwith'a rotary motion and having screw action while the spring members a. maintain a constant pressure toward the tubesurface. Cutters of this kind have been in use for a considerable time and difficult to operate.
To facilitate the operation and improve the efliciency of the device spring members (1., having their Specification of Letters Patent.

the surface of the tubes in a plane perpendicular tothat of the cutting disks 6., are
provided; said members projecting the cutting so as to facilitate insertion of the within the tubes. These two sets of spring members a. are mounted in a base (L, which is in turn mounted in a rotary device which does not form a part of this invention and is not therefore illustrated.
From the foregoing description it will be apparent that the device has as its object the cutting away of the incrustati'on and the cleaning of the tube at one and. the same time.
