Description

L. BERBERIAN MOLDERS SLICK.
APPLICATION FILED JUNE I7, 1920.
1,369,378. Patented Feb. 22, 1921.
INVENTOR. \.g\\\ Egagwagmu- QFL ATTORNEY.
UETED STATES LOUIS IBERBERIAN, OF PORTLAND, OREGON.
MOLDERS SLICK. 7
' Application filed June 17,
To all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, LOUIS BnnnnnIAN, a citizen of the United States, and aresidcnt of Port ind, county of Multnomah, State of Oregon, have invented certain new and use an Improvements in Molders Slicks, of which the llowing is a specification.
My invention relates to molders slicks E in general, and particularly to that type or such slicks as are used for working down into dark corners of the mold, and the obiect' of my 'nvention is to provide means upon the slick whereby to shed light uponthe work such corners, V
I accomplish the above object by means of the construction iilustratcd in the accomdrawing, which is a part of this .on for Letters Patent, like char acters of reference indicating like parts throughout the several views thereof, and in which:
Figure l is a sine elevation of a preferred form of my device; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a similar form except that the foot is slightly modified, and in conformity with usual practice; Fig. 3 is still further modification of my device shown in perspective; and Fig. & is a sectional plan upon line l-et of Figs. 1 and 2. I V
In general my device consists of the ordinary slick for molders use having astem 5, a longitudinal blade 6 and a foot 7, and an electric flashlight securedto the slick in v such a manner as toshed the light upon the foot '7 and the work contiguous thereto.
its a means of thus securing the flash light 8 to said slick I provide upon the latter'a' clip 9 suitable for grasping the search light 'cline d member and Specification of Letters Patent. ,l 'ate t d F b 22 1921 1920. SerialNo. 389,785.
upon the rear of the footr'r', the-surface of said inclined member being adapted to refiect the light from the searchlight into a path parallel to the foot 7 and thus to light the work in advance of the foot.
In the modification shown in Figqirthe foot 7 is attached to a short stem 12 which stem is secured to the body 8 of the flashlight and the blade 6 is secured to a short stem 13 which is secured to the screw. cap 14 ofthe flashlight,- thus making the flash light and the slick integral.
My invention may be made of any size,
and constructed of any" materials deemed convenient and suitable for a device of this character, and while I have illustrated and described a form of construction and arrangement of parts found desirable inmaterializing my invention, I wish to include in this application for Letters Patent all mechanical equivalents or substitutes that may fairly be considered to come within the scopeand purview of my invention as de fined in. the appended claim.
Having disclosed my invention so that others may be enabled to construct and to use the same, what I claim as new, and de sire to secure by Letters Patent is:
A molders slick; a foot upon said slick substantially at the axis thereof; an inclined-member attached to said slick adjacent said foot; and an electric flashlight mounted upon said slick adjacentsaid inlight there'upoda In witness whereof I claim the foregoing as my own I hereunto affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses at Portland, county of Multnomah, State of Oregon, this 11th day of June, 1920.
LOUIS BERBERIAN.
