To aZZ whom t may concern.' l y Be it known that I, EPPA H. RYON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Wal` tham, in the countyof Middlesex-and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Twisting-Machine, of which the following is a specification. y
This invention relates to a twisting machine especially designed for twisting heavy material such'as the material from which cocoa mats are woven. Y
This material is stiff and very bulky and has presented certain difficulties to successful twisting operations. Some of these diiiculties arise from the inertiav of the heavy spools on which the material is delivered to the machine. It is an important object of my invention to provide a machine in which the axis of the spool is disposed perpendicularly to the axis of the rotatable frame in which the spools are mounted, so that the spools will not-revolve relative to the frame Vfrom their own inertia after the frame has come to rest.
@ther features of my invention relate to improved devices for detachably securing a spool in the rotatable frame, and to improved means for guidingthe material to be twisted as it advances from the spool to the point where it is delivered to the winding roll.
My invention further relates to arrangements and combinations of parts, which will be hereinafter described, and more particularly pointed out in the appended claims.

Referring to the drawings I have shown a rotatable frame 10 comprising heads 11 and 12, connected by a plurality of tie rods 13, which rods in turn support a plurality of circular disks 14.
