This invention relates to electric switches and, while the drawings illustrate a doublethrow triple-pole switch, it will be olwious that the invention is equelly applicable to switches haring a single throw and to switchee having any desired number oi poles.

1. An electric switch comprising two sets ot oppositely arranged diagonally disposed line terminals wired 4for two circuits, a terminal bridging device having a neutrrl position and two oppositely inclined olf positions, a rocking support for said device, a single motor spring. n switch handle, means controlled by the switch handle for storing power in said spring to rock said support with a snap action in either direction, means for automatically locking said support against movement in either of its three positions, and means controlled by the switch handle for releasing said latching means at the conclusion of the power storing movement of the switch handle.

In an electric switch, the combination of terminal bridging means rotatable in opposite directions, fixed stops spaced apart, a pair of latches yrotatable with the bridging means adapted to engage opposite sides of each ol' said stops to lock the bridging means against rotation in either direction, a. switch handle, a motor spring, connections between i and the handle and bridging means for lstoring power in said spring to rotate the bridging means in either direction, and latch tripping means operableI by the. handle adapted to trip one ot' said latches aftc a power storing movement olI the handle in one direction and 'to trip the other of disk to neutral positionV said latches after a power storing movement of the handle in another direction.

In an electric switch, the combination of terminal-bridging means rotatable in opposite directions, fixed stops spaced apart, al pair of latches rotatable with the bridging means adapted to engage opposite sides of each of said stops to lock the bridging means against rotation in either direction, a coiled motor spring having projecting ends, a rota-l table switch handle, arms rotatable with the handle and bridging means extending between the ends of said spring, and latch trippinv means rotatable with the handle adapte( to release either of said latches after a power storing movement of the handle.
