In a switch, the combination of a rotatable switch arm, a transverse bar movable with such arm, the switch arm being formed with a slot extending in the directlon of I .movement of the switch arm, a second'bar arranged in the. slot, springs interposed between suchbars,a box: in which the switch is mounted,--acover for the box, operating means carried by the cover, the operating means having a part coacting with the second bar and arranged to detachably engage thesame and to detach therefrom when theswitch is open and upon opening of the I cover, said operating means comprising a rock arm provided with a slot opening toward the axis of the switch arm.

7 In a switch, the combination of a 1'0- tatable switch arm, a transverse bar movable with such arms, the switch arm being formed with a slot extending in the direc- 7 arranged to detachably engage the same and to detach therefrom when the switch is open and upon opening of the cover,- said part comprising a rock arm pro-' vided with a slot opening/toward the axis of the switch arm, the slot having a guide at its open end for guiding the bar into the slot when the cover and the operating means are being closed onto the box.
