a citizenv of .the United States, and a resident of ilewburgh, in the county of Orange and State of New York, have invented a newand useful Detachable Tooth, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This invention relates to dental work and particularly to an improved removable tooth, and has for an object to provide a construction which will. be mechanically effective for the purpose desired, and at the same time a construction which will present a pleasing appearance. I
Another object of the invention is to provide a removable tooth construction capable of application to a bridge or crown.
A still further object of the invention is to provide a removable tooth which may be applied at any time on the upper or lower 3' aw. V

Referring to the accompanying drawing by numerals, 1 indicates a bridge of any usual or preferred construction, the same being shown as a comparatively narrow strip of metal fastened in a suitable manner to adjacent teeth in such a manner that the removable tooth 2 may be arranged therebetween and present a structure which will appear substantially the same as a natural tooth.
In Figs. 3 to 5 inclusive will be seen details of the tooth, which include a supporting plate 3, soldered or otherwise secured to the bridge 1, said plate being providedwith a snap head or stud 4 and a projection or pin 5. The stud 4 is designed to snap into a socket 6 in the tooth 2, which is made. from porcelain, or any other desired ms. terial. What I claim 1s:
1. A removable tooth comprising a tooth 1 structure, a supporting plate, and means for connecting the tooth structure so that the tooth structure will not move independently of the plate, said means including a snap fastener.
2. A removable tooth of the character described comprising a supporting plate, a pin extending from said plate, a tooth member having an opening for receiving said pin, and a snap fastener spaced from said pin for connecting the tooth member with the plate, said pin acting as means for preventing rotary movement of the tooth member when secured'to the plate,

A removable tooth comprising a tooth member provided with a metallic socket and :a pm ad acent said socket, a'base plate for receiving said toothmember, a pin extending from said base plate adapted to fit in sa1d opening, and a resilient stud arranged with the plate for removably connecting the tooth mem her with the base plate.
