Be it known that I, WENZEL J .SCHERF, a citizen of the United States, residing at Manitowoc, in the county of Manitowoc and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful F umigating-Container, of which the V vention by the device shown in the accom- 'panying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a longitudinal sectional'view' of the device;

Referring to the drawings, I provide a container 1 of suitable material, preferably aluminum, and which may be of any suitable shape, either round as shown or shaped like a watch. In'the'upper portion of container 1 is a filling opening 2 covered by a cap' 3. I provide container ,1 with an elongated neck 4 extending well into the body of the container. Mounted on the lower portion of neck 4: is a fine screen 13. Spaced above screen '13, I provide a suitable wire ring 15 having a loop l l'extending into the center of the ring and slidably engaging the vertical extending wire 17, the upper portion of which is bent to form the upper ring 14, as shown in Fig. 3. A suitable spring 16 is attached to the ring 15 and tends to draw it toward ringl l, Positioned between rings 7 14 and 15,1 provide suitable Specification of Letters Patent.

I may provide a cork 12 which may be inserted in the neck 4 of the container when it is not being used. The considerable amount ofabsorbent material contained between members 14 and 15 in the extended neck 4: prevents any leakage of the fumigating liquid in case the device is overturned.
