Application filed February 12, 1919. Serial No. 276,535.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CASWELL V. lIAYs, a
citizen of the United States of America, re-- siding at Dillon, in the county of Dillon and State of South Carolina, have invented new and useful Improvements in Tablets, of which the following is a specification.
The object of the invention is to provide a cheap and neat pencil and pen holding attachment for use in conjunction with tablets and books. In illustrating a specific form thereof is adhered to, but to this form the invention is not to be restricted. The right is reserved to make such changes or alterations as the actual reduction to practice may suggest, in so far as such changes or altera tions are compatible in spirit with the annexed claim. I

fieferring to the drawings, there is shown a tablet comprising a stiffening back 1 on which are attached a plurality of superposed sheets 2. The stiffening back 1 is increased in length over the sheets a sufficient-amount to permit the placement on the stiffening back adjacent the upper end of preferably paste board box 3 whose length is the width of the tablet and whose height is equal to the combined thickness of the superposed sheets.
