PAINT COMPOSITION.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, ANTON G. CHRIST- MAN and CHARLES W. KonPP, both citizens of the United States, and residents of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, have. invented certain new and useful Improvements in Paint Compositions; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.
Our invention relates to new and useful improvements in paint compositions for producing a simple, economical and durable finish for wood, metal or other surfaces.
A further object of our invention is to provide a paint composition for producing a flat finish.
With the above and'other objects and advantages in View, our invention resides in.
' of linseed oil, one and one-half quarts of mineral oil, and one-half pint of a drier;

for the pigment: a solution in water of substantiallyten ounces of glue; twelve ounces of boraX, twelve ounces of sal soda, and twenty ounces of sugar of lead. A half pint of this solution is added to the vehicle.
7 The proportions given are those for a gallon of the paint.
The paint is applied to the surface to be covered in the ordinary manner and produces a durable and economical.flat finish.
I claimt 1. A paint composition comprising a vehicle containing the following ingredients:'
powdered mineral, turpentine, linseed oil,
mineral oil and a drier, and a water solution of the following ingredients: glue, borax, sal soda, and sugar of lead.
2. A palnt composltion comprislng a vehicle containing the following materials in substantially the following proportions: four to eight ounces of a powderedmineral, one quart of turpentine, one quart of linseed oil, one and one-halfquarts of a mineral oil, one-half pint of a drier; and a'half pint of awater solution of the following materials in substantially the following proportions: ten ounces of glue, twelve ounces of borax, twelve ounces of sal soda, and twenty ounces of sugar of lead.
