APPLICATION FILED AUG. 18, 1919.

INVENTOR E E'sendecher ATTORNEYS WITNESSES I @mk M6.
ERNESTO EISENDECI-IER, OF VALDIVIA, CHILE.
WRIST-WATCH HOLDER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Apr. 27, 1920.
Application filed August 18, 1919. Serial No. 318,285.
To all whom it may concern.
it known that i", Ennns'ro EISENDE- (ii-inn, a citizen of the Republic of Chile, and a resident of the city of Valdivia, Chile, have in ted a new and Improved ristld atch older, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This invention relates to improvements in wrist watch holders, an object of the invention being to provide a device of the character stated, which when the wrist watch is in position thereon, will have the appearance of a eloelr and can he conveniently used as a desk clock or for display purposes.
A further object is to provide a device of the character stated which provides an elevateo moun ing for a wrist watch, and braceiet or strap thereon, and which provides a centering recess or pocket to accommodate the watch and hold it in proper position relative to the support;
It is apparent that the device may be rariously ornamented and designed, lending itself to artistic workmanship, but the function of a wrist watch support and improved mounting therefor, will be carried out in all designs so that the device in operation will function and appear as a clock.
With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in certain novel features of construction and combinations and arrangements of parts as will be more fully hereinafter described and pointed out in the claim.
in the accompanying drawings Figure 1 IS a top plan vlew.
2 is a view in front elevation.
1 represents a base, which may be of stone composition, metal, wood, glass, or any other suitable material, and a plate 2 is secured on the base, and has standards 3 thereon.
The standards 3 may be of any desired design, and support at their upper ends, a horizontal form 4. This form may, if desired be covered with velvet, plush or other ornamental material 5 as shown, and is made at its upper edge with a recess 6 to provide a reduced portion to receive the bracelet or strap 7 connected to a wrist watch 8. The ledge 9 formed by the recess 6 prevents downward movement of the strap or bracelet 7 and secures the watch against movement.
To further secure the watch and properly position the same centrally of the form 4, recess or seat 10 is formed in the central portion of the front of the form 4: and as this recess 10 is made with inclined or tapering end walls, the watch supported therein is held against downward as well as lateral movement.
Vhile I have illustrated a bar 11, and bolts 12 for securing the form 5 to the standards, it is apparent this particular construe I tion is not essential.
It is obvious that the device can be variously ornamented and designed to suit the trade.
Various slight changes might be made in the general form of the parts described without departing from my invention, and hence I do not limit myself to the precise details set forth but consider myself at liberty to make such slight changes and alterations as fairly fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claim.
I claim A wrist watch holder, comprising a base, standards on the base, a wrist watch supporting form secured to the top of the standards and positioned substantially parallel to the base, said form having a groove around its upper edge forming a restricted portion adapted to receive the strap or chain of a wrist watch.
