My improved machine may comprise any suitable frame for supportingthe operating parts hereinafter referred to. The lower end of the chute is secured upon table 2, and the. upper end may support the magazine. 'Upon the bottom plate 5 that is extended -to one side of the magazine is a reciprocative pusher plate or bar i operative in guides 8 on said bottom (Figs. '1, 4, 5 and 16). It will he understood that each time that plunger l2 returns from the wrapper folding position (Fig. let) th'e plunger leaves an article in such positiom the side portions 253", Bild of whirhvrapper are folded hy folders 6). titl, during such return stroke of the plunger. and that during each time that the plunger advances and pushes an article in a wrapper,v the portionsI 33, 33h of the said previously deposited. The folders 57, 5S retreat from the folding position before nach succeeding wrapper and article reach suoli position. The several packages are pushed successively from passage into guide 100, by' succeeding loi-ward strokes of the plunger. and suoli packages may he removed from the guideway in any suitable manner` it being observed that as a result of each to and fro movement of the plunger 'a complete paekage is produced and delivered.
Having now fdeseribed my invention what Iiclaim isz- 1. rPhe combination of means to retain wrappers, means to suppl)r and. retain articles opposing/(he Wrappers. a plunger at one side and a receiving passage-at the other side of the yretained wrappers and artieles, means to reciprocate the plunger to push artirles and wrappers therewith into the passage for partiall folding wrappers on the articles, stationair)Y folders within the passage to partially fold the u* uppers upon the .articles as they are pushed by the plunger along the passage one after another, a pair of opposing folders movable traneversely of said passage and spaced from the stationary folders on the side awav from the. plunger, another pair of opposing folders at an angle to the first named pair of folders and movable transrersel-x,Y of said passage, and means to more said pairs of folders separatelgy and relatively to the movements of the plunger unfolded h v the stationary fohlers.
The Combination of means to retain wrappers, means to .supply and retain articles opposing tin- \\'rappeix-i, a plunger at one .side and a reeeiving passage at the other .side of the retained wrapper and articles, means to reciprocate the plunger to push artieles andl wrappers therewith into the passage for partially folding wrappers on the artirles, a pair of opposingfolders movable transreKeelyY of said passage, another pair of opposing folders at an angle, to the first named pair ol' folders and movable transverseliF of said passage. means to more one pair of folders tmvard and 'from pro jerting portions of the wrapper while the plunger moves in one direction. and means to move the other pair of folders toward and from projecting portions of the Wrapper while the plunger moves in another direction.

The combination of a wrapper receiver having opposed openings, a retainer-for articles opposing seid receiver, a plunger to move articles from said retainer into said receiver to push Wrappers therefrom with the artieleg a receiving passage for said wrappers and articles, wrapper folders xguided to move transversely of said passage,
arms operatively connected with said fold-I ers to reciprocate them, an arm operatively connected with said first named arms to move them together to cause said folders to traverse said passage, an erm eonnected with the last named arm, and a projection operatively connected with said plunger for actuating the last named arm to cause operation of said folders upon movement of said plunger in one direction.

The combination of a Wrapper receiver having opposed openings, a retainer for artirles' opposing said receiver` a. plunger to move articles from said retainer into said rereiver to push wrappers therefrom with the articles. a revolving passage for said wrappers and articles, Wrapper folders guided to more transversely of said passage. arms operatively Connected with said folders to reciprocate them.` dogs operatively connected with said plunger to reciprocate them-,with lo uctuute snidfarms when moved in one direction; wruppefolders guided to more transversely lo said passage relatively to the first named foldors, arnjs operatively ronnected with the. second named folders to reciprocate them, :nenne operatively conncvnng smid second n'luned uns for con joint operation, and a projection connected with Salif] plunger for operating the last named means when the plunger moves in 10 another direction to cause operation of said folders.
