a new and Improved Oil-Gan; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
The nature of my invention consists in the spinning of an oil-can out of zinc, brass, or copper, which is superior to the old style of tin cans. It is spun out of two pieces of zinc, copper, or brass, and united in the center, giving it only one seam.
I will proceed to describe the construction of my invention.
, In Figure 1 you will see the full size of a two-quart can, A being the top part or cone;
B, the bottom part or cone. (J is the one seam which unites the two where the two parts are put together and soldered, it being the only seam there is about the can. D is the spout and screw-top combined, which I have preferred to the old style. E is the handle, which is soldered to the can. F is the ear to which the bail is fastened. G is the bail,
which I make either of bright iron or brass wire, which completes the can; H H represent beads.
What I claim as my invention is-- An oil-can of zinc or other suitable material, formed of two parts, each spun up from one piece of metal, and united by one seam in the center, as shown and described.
