in our application above mentioned,` the tiles are made of a reproof-composition Which is mixed in aplastic state and formed in molds. All of the tiles may be reinforced lwith metal bands, as, for instance, Wire, when desired. The absence of interior obstructions in the tiles especially fits them for use as ducts and shafts.
We claim:
A floor construction comprising tiles, each tile being formed of nail penetrating material having at its lower face oppositely eX- tending flanges adapted to abut the correspondinglanges of adjacent cores to space said tiles,each tile having its side walls provided With ribs, a facing of plastic material filling thespaces between the tiles above said flanges and interfitted between and retained in position by said ribs, and a nailing rib formed integrally upon each tile and extending transversely across the bottom face thereof and having a length equal to the Width of said bottoni face.
