To all 'whom t may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM N. Gnorrnn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lexington, in the county of Fayette and State of Kentucky, have invented certain to` window frames, and it consists in the combinations, constructions and arrangements herein described and claimed.

. An object of my invention is to provide a screen construction which may be readily attached to a window frame, `and which,

. when so attached, may beswung to an open" position and retained in said open position.

`A :lurtherobject` of my invention is to provide a simple means of suspending the screen frame pivotally at the top so as to require only a few moments work in hangin@ the frame. y y

A further object of my invention is to provide a device of the type described in which a portion of the suspension means also serves `as an attachment for hanging the screen frame on a suitable support when the screen is put away, as for instance, dur ing the winter. y

A further object of my invention is to provide a means for pivotally securngthe screen frameto the window ame which is relatively simple; in construction, has iew` parts, and is not liable to easily get out of order. 1 i

3 and 4t, these channelstrips having straight outer faces, a flat central portion and an inner portion bent at an angle of approximately 450 from the central or base portion. `In Fig. 2, the outer face is shown at 3% the central portion at 3b," and the inner face `at .36. 4, The ycombination with an outer frame having sockets, of a screen frame, aplate secured to the upper end of said screen frame and, being looped to form a tube having; a central slotl at one side thereof, a slidable rod in each end ofvsaid tube, a set screw secured to each rod and arranged to slide in said slot for clamping the rod to lthe tube, the end of each rod being arranged to enter one of the sockets orpivotally suspending the screen, and a pivoted arm secured to the frame at one end and arranged to engage a4 portion of the outer frame at the othery end. for holding the screen yframe in an open position.

5. Thercombination with an outer frame having sockets, of a screen frame, aplate securednto the upper end offsaid screen f frame and being looped to form a tube having a4 central slot at one side thereof, aslidable rodin each end of said tube, a set screw secured to each rod and arranged to slide in said slot for clamping the rod to the tube, the end of each rod being arranged-to enter one of the socketsl for pivotally suspending the screen, a pivoted arm secured to the frame at oneend and arranged to engage a portion of theouter frame at the other end for holding the screen frame in an open position, and means at the bottom of the frame for locking the latter to the outer frame.
