V Specification forming part of Letters Patent N 0. 130,571, dated August 20, 1872.
hooks H, which by their own gravity fall over lugs or shoulders on the balewhen the tub resumes its upright position after. being dumped.
We do not claim any improvement in. the form of the tub, which is of the scoop form, nor do we claim the self-dumpin g or operating 7 latch as new when singly constructed; but the novelty consists in so connecting the latches on both sides of the tub so as to be operated as one, and the tub dumped from either side, instead of being compelled to turn the tub to reach the latch.
Having thus described my invention, I claim- Thelatches F F, connected and secured to the tub A, and adjusted to the bale B at both sides of the tub. I
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification before two subscribing witnesses.

Thus its own weight will always keep it in upright position. But when filled with any material the greatest weight will be on the opposite side of the bale say at the point E-hence, when filled, will discharge or dump itself as soon as detached, after .Which the weight of the tub will immediately bring it into upright position again. In Figs. 1 and 2, F is the latch which extends around the tub and is hinged at the back, as shown at G G, and provided with recesses or Witnesses A. M. DEDERIOK, JAMES RORABAGK.
